At sea somewhere off Canada–Monday

One disadvantage of an inside cabin with no window is that there is no indication of day or night. We woke later than we expected. As today is a full day at sea, this was no issue, but we will have to set the alarm on most days to make sure that we can take as much advantage of the day as we can. After the food last night, breakfast was a much smaller serve. We tried the undrinkable free all day coffee yesterday afternoon and straight away bought a coffee card that allowed us 15 special coffees, expresso, mocca, cafe latte etc, along with unlimited brewed coffee. Brewed coffee for breakfast was OK. We spent most of the morning sitting at a table beside the big window, writing the blog for yesterday, looking at the passing sea and morphed into an early light lunch. We went to a presentation by a naturalist, “A Naturalist’s Guide to the Inside Passage”, a great intoduction to what we are likely to see in the next few days along with some useful sight seeing hints. Bit more exploring up around the open top decks, very breezy, but reasonably clear. Temperature is in the low teens, just a little different to the 32 degrees yesterday in Seattle.
